HOCKEY CANADA UNVEILS 26-PLAYER ROSTER FOR KARJALA CUP

Canada’s National Men’s Team continues to evaluate national talent in lead-up to PyeongChang

CALGARY, Alta. – The management and coaching staff of Canada’s National Men’s Team – led by general manager Sean Burke (Windsor, Ont./Montreal, NHL) and head coach Willie Desjardins (Climax, Sask.) – continue to cast a wide net in their evaluation of Canadian talent in the lead-up to the 2018 Olympic Winter Games.

Following two week-long competitions in Russia last August, the management and coaching staff embark on the next phase of their evaluation of Olympic hopefuls in November as part of Canada’s National Men’s Team’s participation at the Karjala Cup Nov. 8-12 in Helsinki, Finland, and Biel, Switzerland. Hockey Canada has unveiled a 26-player roster for the event, which will see the red-and-white face off against Switzerland, Sweden, and Finland.
