Subject: Grant Opportunity to incorporate Minorities into your hockey program

Greetings HEO Minor Hockey Associations,

I wanted to raise your attention to an upcoming grant opportunity through Grants Ontario.  The Grant Program is called the Multicultural Grant Program (https://www.ontario.ca/page/multicultural-community-capacity-grant-program) and for associations you would be able to apply for up to ($1000-$3000) for a project that would incorporate minorities into your community.  Potential ideas you could use for this program:

1. Try it Day (skating)
   
   1. Funds used to purchase helmets skates that are then given to particants
   2. Funds used to pay for instructors
   3. Funds used to pay for ice time
2. Starting a Floorball league within your community with the purpose to engage minority cultures
3. Subsidizing low-income minority family registration
4. Other ideas that we can spin will positively get Minorities involved in the community through your hockey association. 

This is an excellent opportunity for any MHA’s with multicultural families in their area to engage them in a creative way. 

HEO is also pleased to offer my services to help you draft the grant application.  I have been successful in getting this specific grant for HEO and would be more than glad to do the majority of the leg work to try and help your association get some extra funds to support your programming.
