Looking for a once in a lifetime experience for your minor hockey team? Join us on the Rideau Canal Skateway for a game of Shinny on Hockey Day in Canada! February 8, 2020 8am-9am Not every day sticks and pucks are allowed on the Rideau Canal Skateway, but to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Skateway and Hockey Day in Canada it’s GAME ON! Tim Hortons, the Ottawa Senators and Canadian Heritage in collaboration with Hockey Eastern Ontario and Hockey Outaouais are pleased to invite local minor hockey teams the opportunity to participate in Hockey Day in the Capital on Saturday, February 8th from 8am to 9am! The Rideau Canal Skateway will transform into 110 shinny rinks where minor teams (Initiation to Peewee ages) from the Capital Region will once again have the chance of a lifetime to play a fun game of shinny on the iconic canal. APPLICATIONS ARE FREE Each minor hockey team that submits a Hockey Day in the Capital application by Thursday, January 30, 2020 at 5pm will be entered into a random lottery to participate. |
